To Erma's Family,

So sorry to hear of Erma's passing although I know she is in a much better place now. I'm sorry I didn't get to the funeral home but you know the reason why I couldn't come.
Nelleen was so sorry when I told her. They were very good friends through the years. They kept in touch through the telephone as did Erma and I.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.....

I treasure the time I worked with Erma at Shapiro's. I recently saw her at Piney Valley.I was so blessed to see her and talk with her for a while. Erma was a wonderful woman. The Light of Jesus shone through her. Her life was for good.
SO sorry I can't be there this evening. I will be remembering you all as you go through this big change in your lives.

To all of Erma's Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Erma's passing but I know she is in a much better place and not suffering. I would so much like to come to the funeral home but you all know why this is not possible. When she was feeling better she called me often. I know Nelleen will miss talking with her. She was so sad to hear of her death. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love you,
Lee Anna Wallace

I was very saddened to learn of the death of Erma. I worked for the Department of Highways and had worked in Elkins for years, but got transferred to Burlington in 1981. Erma was the very first person that I met. She was kind to help me find an apartment. She was such a kind and loving person. I transferred back to Elkins that same year as a position came up. Even after I returned to Elkins, we kept in touch. She invited me to spend a couple of weekends at her home. Lewie and Erma were so kind to me. I enjoyed the time we spent together. I shall always have very fond memories of her. I know when Lewie died she was so devastated. She missed him so much as they were such a close couple. She loved her family very much and spending time with each of you.. I loved Erma as she had such a sweet spirit about her. Death is not the end of the story, because I know she loved God and she is now reunited with the one she loved and missed. We are all promised by God that we will once again see our loved ones. I send my sincere sympathy to the family on the death of such a special person. I send my prayers as you go through this time of grief, not just today but also in the coming days as you grieve. Love and prayers to each of you. Thank you Erma for being such a special friend to me..
