Sorry for your loss! I had so many fond memories of Donnie when growing up . Wheeling him across the field to watch us play sports etc. If i could have switched places with him for a day I sure would of. He was so happy and pleasant . I sadly will miss his smiles and selflessness. God has surely gained an angel!

I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences.  May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever. (Psalm 37:29)  It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time.

I am truly saddened by Donnie's passing. I am so glad that I had the privilege of getting to know him as a volunteer at Heartland/Piney Valley. He was always so pleasant and his smile was contagious. He was also a very appreciative person. When I would visit, he always thanked me for talking with him. I will especially miss seeing him sitting at the window across from the main dining room. I would sit on the window sill and we would talk. Our best conversations happened at that window. Donnie was very proud of his family and mentioned them often. He was blessed to have a very loving, attentive family and I know that he was a blessing to each of them.  He was an inspiration and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to know him. My thoughts will be with all of you
during this difficult time.

I was blessed to get to know Donnie while I was in Piney Valley as a resident for 3 years.  He always loved getting cards from family and friends and we would talk for a bit when I delivered them.  I know he will be deeply missed.  My prayers are with his family at this time.

I'll dearly so much miss Donnie.I drew close in friendship with him.Donnie would always be sitting there waiting on the  front porch when the family and I would come for the reunions.Donnie and I would talk when I would visit.I had to share Jesus with him one time .I sent him an article on how to know the steps of salvation.Donnie remembered and told me that he really liked that.So ever since then, this is how I learned and knew Donnie. When Donnie was in a nursing home.I would sent him pictures to brighten his day so as there were times he had to stay in his room.My heart holds a special for place Donnie.I know Donnie is walking in heaven. And heaven is where Donnie I'll see again. What a reunion that will be in heaven. To see Donnie again.Love Always.

I wish I could be there with you, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate the incredible life on Donnie.
