Betty Ann Fraley
Betty Ann Fraley, 79, of Keyser, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 29, 2019.
Born on January 11, 1940 in Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Robert Miles and Catherine Louise (Bucklew) Nyman. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Charles Nyman and her three sisters, Mary Rita Nyman, Edna Mae Thompson and Margaret J. Stephen and a daughter-in-law, Kelli Fraley. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Betty was a 1957 graduate of Keyser High School and a member of Marching Band Color Guard and a former manager of High’s Dairy Store. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Jerry and a dedicated mom, nana to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of the Assumption, Women’s Club, The Assumption Ladies Guild, Women of the Moose Chapter 191, a Bunco Club and a Sorority. Betty loved flowers, shopping, playing bunco and was a faithful Catholic.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald ‘Jerry” Fraley and her children, Gregory Fraley, Julie Williams and husband Pete and Christopher M. Fraley and wife Tammy. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Cameron Fraley, Tyler Fraley, Justin Kuhn, Evin Williams, John Michael Fraley, Taylor Fraley, Cassidy Fraley, Jacob Fraley and Christian Fraley and her three great-grandchildren, C.J. Fraley, Elizabeth Kuhn and Hayden Williams.
The Family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Church of the Assumption, 34 James Street, Keyser, on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
