Edward Allen King

     Elkins, WV – Edward Allen King, 56, of Elkins, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Davis Medical Center.

     Born on June 6, 1967 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late George Paul and Thelma E. (Powell) King. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Paul King and sister, Beverly Jean Bishop and Ida Mae Haines.

     Edward graduated from Keyser High School and was a United Methodist by faith. He was formerly employed as a line worker for Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield, WV and for the Keyser Garment Factory. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Left to cherish Edward’s memory are his brother, Ronald F. King and wife Sherry of Winchester, VA; sisters, Brenda Lee Keller and fiancé Robert Doll of New Creek, WV and Tina Marie Rodeheaver of Keyser and his former mother-in-law, Jane “Momma Jane” Chapman. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 1:00pm -2:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm with Reverend Lauren A. Godwin officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date.
