Norma Lee “Peggy” Davy
PIEDMONT, WV - Norma Lee “Peggy” Davy, 74, of Piedmont, WV, died on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Allegany Health Nursing & Rehab Center, Cumberland, MD.
Born December 28, 1935 in Maysville, she was a daughter of the late William Simmons and Stella Parker Simmons. She was also preceded in death by a son, Sammy Braithwaite and a sister, Lois “Tiney” Llewellyn.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Davy; her Step Mother, Freda Simmons of Keyser, her sons, James Braithwaite of Rawlings, Daniel Braithwaite of Piedmont, David Braithwaite of Cumberland and Sharon Braithwaite of Fla.; her brothers, Roger Simmons, Sr. of Cumberland, Charles Lee Simmons of Stafford, VA, Roger William “Tally” Simmons, Jr. and Gary Allen Simmons, both of Keyser; her sister, Maureen Lupis and husband Bill of Short Gap and her brother-in-law, David Llewellyn of Brunswick, MD. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special friend and daughter-in-law, Norma Miller of NC.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Randy Leatherman officiating.
Interment will follow in Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, WV.
